    installing RPM shifter light..

I'm installing an RPM light from Raptor Performance. I would like to know where on the Cluster i can tap the RPM wire to this Shift light. Any help with pictures would be greatly appreciated.. once installed, i'll do a sticky post on my installation. I've already done the Cluster Bezel and Autometer Dash pod install.

    btw.. it's a 03 WRX.

any ideas where i should install this Shift light would be appreciated. it's very small. no where as big as the Autometer one.

I think the best place I have ever seen a shift light on the WRX is in the center vent. I dont know where I saw the picture either here or nasioc. I will try to find the picture so it would make more sense.

actually looking at the sight it has a camaro with the light in the vent. That is where I would think about putting mine.

That's a pretty sweet shift light. I was thinking that it'd be nice to have a shift light. Maybe I'll get one of these too. I'm interested to see how hard it is to install.

Hi, you can tap the green rpm signal wire right behind the instrument cluster. Its the solid green wire in the right wire harness(there are three total) right behind the rpm gauge. Real easy to take off the instrument cluster too. I think there are 5 screws total that you need to remove. GL.

Thanks for the help everyone.. for those with the USDM (CAN) cluster, it's the right cluster connection and the solid green wire.. I used a vampire tap for now.. i'll clean it up with a nice solder. and the tape holding the shift light was to hold it down until i used some velcro.

    enjoy!
