Where to put my mp3 player

I installed my adapter today to hook my mp3 player (or any device) to my kenwood stereo and am now wondering where to put the mp3 player. I'm thinking about wiring it through one of extra holes in the console near the mirror button/emergency brake. I was wondering if there's anyone that's done anything like this or has pictures of it?
    Thanks in advance

Well I'm replying to my own thread, but I just start taking things apart and managed to get the cord from my stereo through the console and to the unused "switch" in front of my mirror button (04 sedan). I rest the mp3 player in my cupholder. Seems to work well for the time being. I'm still searching for ideas of creative ways to mount it.

if its a portable MP3 player that you take with you, just slap a block of high strength velcro somewhere on your console. or, if its a slender one, you could grab an adjustable clamping cell phone holder. viola. route the cable under the interior console so it can hang next to the front of the seat against the carpeting when not in use. my roomate did this with his cell phone and hardwired the charger cord inside the dash somewhere.

edit- i'd route it down so the cord hangs on the passenger side. too much is going on on the driver's side.

I just lay mine in my center compartment thing. It gets kind of annoying though because you need to open it up everytime you want to change a song or see what's playing.

I use my ipaq 2215 to play my mp3's and its great - have it velcroed up really nice to the empty spot near the cupholder where I can see it without taking my eyes away from the road and my wallpaper is two jdm wrb wrx's racing eachother so it matches my car nicely - I could not justify spending 300 bucks on an ipod when my pocket pc will do the same thing and more with just a 2gb memory card.

I have mine velcroed to the indentation under the ebrake. It comes in and out quickly and easily without ever being in the way of anything. It's easy to reach, and i ran the wire through the ebrake hole so it's not terribly visible and ugly.
