sti armrest extension is annoying while shifting

stupid sti armrest annoys me so much. It ALWAYS seems to be getting on the way. For normal driving its fine and comfortable too. As soon as i get on it a litlte (not much its not broken in) and do some quickshifting that think just gets on the way, ughh!!! I just open the extension and set it back and than its fine. I think when i go to the local strip, i'm definitely gonna take that thing off. I was trying to see if i can get rid of armrest extension all together and just sell it but that doesnt seem possible. Sorry

I asked for one on my WRX when I bought it (It didn't have one as delivered). After few months, I too grew to really dislike it. I contacted the salesman I bought from and asked could he get the stock piece for me. I said something like “I wished I had saved the original”. Sure enough in a few days he had one for me - for free.

Did you car come equipped with the extension? People do swap them out at delivery … perhaps you can ask your salesperson the same? What do you have to loose?

GotWRX03 traded his to someone he found on here, even got a few bucks for it. I personally like having mine, but I can see the issue. Plus, the thing is just so damn cheaply made...
