Disconnected hose in the Trunk?

going thru my trunk today...opened the side compartment where the spare tire jack and stuff is, and find what looks like a large water hose or something, its clear and not connected to anything on one end. I didn't want to pull it to see where it was connected on the other end. Anyone want to shed some light on this and tell me what it is for?

i know the sti has its water tank in the trunk for the intercooler sprayer... Maybe has something to to with that.

Might be a drain hose, for water run off.

I have no idea.

Just upping my post count. hehe

I think that may be it.

Hicks: is it on the right or left side of the trunk? If it is on the right, it may be for the intercooler sprayer

its on the left side, where you open that little panel, i'll try to get a pic up here tommorrow, its a think lookin hose

I'd bet on a drain for a rain gutter from the trunk. IDK just giving more ideas.

here is a pic of the hose, left side of the trunk, behind the panel. New digital camera so picture might not be best quality "yet" i have seen another 04 WRX and it did not have this hose...

i have a sliding moonroof, the other WRX i checked did not have one, maybe it is a drain for it in case it rains while it is open or something. The other end runs up the side panel toward the roof.

I have a sun roof.....and I too have the big blue hose!

it's the sunroof drain. if you ever get some water infiltration, make sure it's not clogged. you should be able to blow through it.

acuras commonly have that prob.
