    Speedometer Broken???

Ya so I have no idea where to post this... Just ran to Kinko's to print out a report (its friggin 4am... grr) anyway I noticed that the spedo was stuck at zero! Everything else... temperature... tach... gas.. etc are fine... however the speedometer won't budge. My milage is also staying constant. I drove approximately 3 miles and it odometer didn't change.

Anyone have any ideas wtf is going on? I also got a P0500 CEL.

Is the tach still working? Have you messed with the gauge cluster at all?

Lots of small things could be wrong.

Do you have any electrical mods that tap into the ECU harness?

Have you had any tranny work done recently?

Did you do anything, notice anything, hear anything before you realized the speedo wasn't working?

Right now, go out and check to see if the harness connecting the transmission is plugged into the ECU wiring and that the signal from the tranny is going into the ecu.

Do you notice a 5krpm rev limiter, where the car won't let you rev past a certain point? Does it rev all the way out to 5k?

just had the gears swapped out actually... have driven about 2k miles since they were installed...

no electrical mods...no messin with the gauges... and all the connections are OK.
Think it could be the speed sensor?

There's a gear in the tranny for the speedometer.. It hasn't worked at all since the gear swap? Take it back.

    Sorry

Check your connections too. There is a set of wires coming out of the tranny, make sure it is plugged into something.
