what's underneath the rear seat of an 02 wagon? Does it come up? Is there space under there?

I'm looking for a space to stash some audio processing, and I was wondering if this area was accessible like it was in my old jetta.

for future thread readers...

i just went out and unbolted the seat , took all of about 60 seconds.
there is no space under the rear seat, just the foam that makes the seat cushion. There really isn't room for much of anything under there except wiring, unless you remove part of the foam padding.

There is for a deflated one, but that ruins all the fun.

Another spot you can think about mounting stuff is in the backs of the front seats. Unzip the covers and check it out. I thought about mounting a small amp there, but...haven't yet.

Don't amps need some air to dissipate heat? If you zipped them up in a seat.....?

They might, but the seat fabric is pretty thin, you can blow air right through it. Or wire up a cooling fan I guess.
