    Autometer gauge pods?

I am going to install a few gauges in my 2005 WRX in the near future. I have seen the Autometer pillar single, dual and triple pods that mount on the windshield column. I have seen a lot of photos of them installed. But how do they attach to the windshield pillar? Do you have to drill holes in the stock cover? Also, are there any real nice steering column gauge pods for the WRX? I have seen a few where the whole upper plastic piece is installed and it has a place for a gauge molded right in it. But in the adds I have seen they only list Honda, Toy ext. I have seen photos of the pods that you can mount to the steering column. But I do not like the big nut that holds it in place. Thanks for any input.

if you haven't already, check the "Gauge Mounting Options" sticky in the Cockpit and Cabin forum, there should be some good info there for ya.

there is a metal clip (at least in my 02) behind the pillar and i drilled it into there thru the pillar pod.

O.K. I now have gauges on order. Where is the best / easiest place to install the water temp sender? I was thinking of installing it in the cooling line right befor the turbo. Any good temp manifolds that will bolt right in?
