Rattling Compass Mirror

Have any of you guys found a fix for this yet. Mine, just like everyrone's, rattles like crazy when the bass goes boom.

make a custom wedge out of wood, put behind the mirror where the ball pivots, makes it more stable, coat it with a thin layer of foam if u like, id show u a picture of mine only i glued it down any way, with black foam it blends in very well, u could only kinda see it from the outside anyways. hope this helps

Thanks for the idea. Has anyone opened the mirror casing? It looks like it just snaps together? Tips how to open the mirror would be great.

Never turn down the bass! Anyways, I read on here some guy trying to take his mirror apart and siliconing the pc board inside it and I guess he ended up ruining it so don't try that.

Thanks for the tip. My mirror is still rattling away. Haven't had time to fix it yet. Has anyone found the *perfect* cure?

mine rattles too, but it's also all F'D up. the acutall reflective part is all clouded, and getting worses. there's also some mysterious black fluid b/w the glass and reflector.

Noise rattle or just vibration? I like how the headlights stretch and blur when a deep note hits, but it's silent. If it's just the vibration you speak of, what's the problem? All of them vibrate, including the side mirrors on mine, with just a single 10" sub. I like it, personally. It subconsciously enhances the bass in my perception.
