Autometer mech Oil Temp install ?'s

I just recieved my oil temp gauge and was wondering if the 1/2" mounting nut will fit in the gallery plug locations or if I am going to have to drill into the pan? They also have a 3/8" adaptor if that works?

subaru sales an adapter for the 3/8's i believe...
Parts left off of a car cost nothing weigh nothing and do not cause service issues.

Just be careful when installing or you will have oil in the cabin. Lots of people go with electronic gauges for that very reason. Subaru does sell an oil galley plug and the part number is

11024AA210. It should only be a couple of bucks and comes with plug and washer.

Here is a linky to a pdf on the oil gallery locations
