is all I need to do, go down to napa, and get a
1/4x1/8x1/4 T, and some nylon 1/8in tubing?

And then install it? I am the worst at electrical stuff, so when people say tap a wire, it just means strip it, attach the new wire too it and wrap it in electrical tap right? Or is there an easier or better way to do it?

I think Summit or Jegs has that gauge for cheaper. Not sure but it's worth a look. Check them out before you buy.
