very slick. Does it have voice recognition/commands?? On the other hand, I could've sold you a PNAV-7015 for a couple hundred less.![]()

Need to take a leak? Looking for Mcdonalds? Need some Booze? All I have to do is type it in!! Once you have nav you NEVER go back!! System is Alpine with Savv Monitor. Cost well under 2 Grand and worth every dime!! Note location of V1.

Those fools, EVO vs. STi??? That's like comparing ....wait a minute...there's no comparison. The Suby's still working!!! The evo...well... I hope he got the extended warranty.
Yes the Alpine unit talks to you and directs you, this system has over 6 million POI or points of interest meaning restaurants, ATMs, gas stations etc. I can even place the cursor on an upcoming exit an it will tell me what POI's are off that particular exit. Need gas? just use the remote and click on gas stations, it will give you precise directions to the gas station of your choice. I go to garage sales so all i need to do is put all addresses in the navigation unit in the morning and the Alpine sorts them in order of proximity. This thing does everything but wipe your a*s!!

Vanitas vanitatum...et omnia vanitas

Sweetness! That is too cool! (although a tad on the expensive side tho..)
I guess this means you lost your autodimmer function, huh?
It kind of takes up a lot of the mirror, is that safe? It does look freakin awesome though.![]()

Not a big deal, lose a little of the center rear view but it sure as hell is alot safer han taking your eye off the road to look down at a monitor that is part of your head unit. Thats what sold me on this install.

Yeah, until the hugeness of it blocks out all traffic on the front right side of your car!!!
That is a monstrosity!! I'd end up getting in a wreck.

thats pretty sweet. I think it would look better if you had some sort of pop up screen in the center part of the dash.
13.2 @105 with the old auto. Now rockin a 4.44 standard tranny.
I have had navigation in my 02 BMW M3, my 03 Infiniti G35 and an Audi s4 all these units were in dash factory navigation units. Which installation is easisest and safest to use? The Alpine unit with monitor in the mirror handsdown. Why? simple, you don't take your eye off the road as long as you would with in dash monitors.

Well lots of people depend more the rearview mirrors more than other people and I think that screen must enlarge the blind spot a lot.Originally posted by ExCon

Usually you don't have to look at any navigation systems because they have voice commands that tell you where to turn, so they aren't really dangerous at all.Originally posted by ExCon
