    Prodrive shift knob question

Anybody have the black prodrive shiftknob. I picked it up yesterday for a great price, i was informed that it was for 6spd. tranny but the treads fit fine for a 5speed. So i screw off my old knob and put the prodrive one on. There is no ring to hold the shift boot in place. Anyone have this knob on a 5spd? What did you do? Any ideas? Thanks for the help

I bought the black Prodrive 5-speed shiftknob from fastwrx.com

They make separate one for the 6-speeds.

My 5-speed version holds the factory boot perfectly.

I read about some people with aftermarket knobs using the cap from a soda bottle with an "X" slit in the top of it around the shift lever to hold up the boot. Hope that helps.
