This is a discussion on has anyone replaced their steering wheel...?? within the Interior Mods forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; just wondering...because I know I'd like to have a sportier wheel...but isn't it illeagal to tamper w/ an airbag system...?? ...

    I believe it is illegal to remove an airbag device that came with the car stock. But its true that the WRX steering wheels are a bit big for my tastes. At least compared to my GF's miata's steering wheel which fits the hands perfectly and is easy to get from lock to lock.
