    I did some searching but found no other threads on this. I noticed that there is a melting spotunder my back seat today also when changing my struts. Has any one heard of this or know how to fix it.

    i would call up a dealer it sounds like there could be a short if those wires are heating up that much number one it could be a fire Hazard and number two it might leave you stranded somewhere which is not good either
