    Does the factory alarm arm itself automatically and lock the doors...if you forget to arm it with the remote?

    if you lock the doors and shut it? yes it will set the alarm.

    i didn't have the remote one day but i had the key (had some work done, you know about the clutch thing on 02 if you're under warrant?) and i locked the doors and went into a store. Parked right out front too. well, came back and unlocked the door with the key . . . horn went off for however long. realilzed i had the remote in a bag and open the door again to the lovely sounds of the horn while i found the remote. people came out to ask if it was my car. nice.
