    Dynamat Extreme vs RaamMat

I will be sound deadening my new car soon and was wondering people's experiences with the two products mentioned in the subject line.

I have used Raammat and was pleased with it. I had to use atleast two layers to get the sound deadening properties that I wanted.

It seems that dynamat extreme is more dense and the aluminum also seems thicker than Raammat. It would seem that I would only need one layer of dynamat extreme.

    Mt setup is:

    Alpine 7984 head unit
    JL 300/4 amp
Image dynamics 10inch sub in an element enclosure
    Speakers TBD:

    Probably one of the following:

    Boston Accoustic Z
    Boston Accoustic Pro Series
    CDT

    Thanks.

There have been a few posts about this but I have used both and I have been happy with both.

IMHO, the Raammat is a much better value overall.

    Thanks.

I think that I might have to go with Dynamat, as I just entered another long period of 12 hour workdays. This way, I can get my local installer, who is anal retentive about his installations to do the work.

    Thanks for the feedback.
