Taking out the head unit/hole in the firewall

Anyone know how to take out the stock head unit?

also, where is the hole in the firewall to run a wire through?

Pull the bezel off after removing the screw behind the cupholder (just open it)

The hole i use is right behind the clutch pedal (its a solid rubber grommet you have to cut a hole in)

With a knife.... I have no idea what you are asking "How". I assumed how to make the hole for the wire?

I think what STiMULi means, and what I would like to know is how do you remove the head unit in a 2005.

This is for a 04' Sti, so it should work on a 04' WRX.

Can't help ya with the 05' though, since they have the new interior trim. It might just pop off like the 04's, so I guess you could try doing it that way, but I'm not sure.

Make sure you put that grommit back on securely. I left it off for a few days while doing my install, and you'd be suprised how much engine noise gets into the cockpit. I literally thought my engine was gonna explode, or I had some serious engine problems.
