i'm gonna install these Omari guages tomorrow (at least i hope so). anyway, attached to the gauges are the wires that i assume are for power and what not. i have 3 gauges( EGT, oil pressure, oil temp). on all 3, they share some 5 similar wires, colors are: 2 black, 1 red, 1 white, 1 brown. what are these wires supposed to tap (connect) into. these wires i believe are only for the electrical portion of the install. i would really like ANY helpful suggestions. thanks. Mike
EDIT: i suppose i should add that i'm gonna put these in the place of the OEM clock, if that makes things any clearer as far as where i should tap.

shoot , I'd hit it at current age, on roof of the car, with cousin driving , neighbor and town priest in the back seat, and that kid from "N.Korea" riding shotgun.
alright, so the 2 black are for 2 grounds, can they be grounded to the same wire, or are there 2 grounds back by the clock?Originally posted by BoostedBoxer

red of course is the power, is that a constant 12v or a switched power? the white can be tapped to the light for the clock, which is probably orange, right?
"the brown is probably the signal". do you know which signal you're referring to? does anyone have a diagram of the wiring behind there?
thanks

On mine, yes, it seems that the two blacks are both grounds. And the same ground at that. I wish one was for the guage and one for the light so I could wire the dimming lights on this bassackwards wired Subaru dash light systemBut they both appear to be the same ground, I just connected both of them to keep it clean and make sure I had a good ground.
did you ground it to a wire? or just to a metal part?

Clock wiring. It was just too easy to do it that way![]()
well, after playing with the clock/hazard wiring with a voltmeter for a while, my buddy and i opted to tap into the cig lighter for power and ground, and since i was running the wires through the firewall, i don't know where he got illumination from. the lights on the gauges are on all the time, but that doesn't bother me. all in all, it's a real clean setup. i'm gonna post pics when my car's all done. thanks for the help

I just got an OMORI gauge where do the wires connect to?
I saw above it mentioned the clock but I need to know exactly what each Omori wire does.
