Due to a *slight* miscalculation, the enclosures were about 1/2" too tall to fit under the strut brace. I've always hated the styrophom floor and the upholstery color in the back anyway, so I decided to rip it all out, rebuild, and lower the trunk floor. The enclosures fit pretty well now, but I still have a lot of gap filling, sanding, sound dampening, and carpeting to do. I should be done in about a month, I'll post more pics when it's finished.
Obviously, the words 'practicality' and 'stock' are no longer in my vocabularyThe rear seatbelt has been removed, numerous brackets/tie downs were ground off, and the molded factory trunk pieces will never be in the car again- etc... The rear seat is staying, it's just out right now to make it easier to work...

Cool. I'm sure the hard work will pay off. What kind of subs do you have?

Well...with my previous set up I had 2 10" JL W0's, which are now going on 6 years old (but still sound great!) If I can, I'll upgrade the subs, but i'll probably just run those for a while.

Getting closer...I got the back seat together, enclosures are just about done, and I have the side panels cut and formed. I used this cardboard insulation material called Thermo-Ply to reshape the sides.

shoot , I'd hit it at current age, on roof of the car, with cousin driving , neighbor and town priest in the back seat, and that kid from "N.Korea" riding shotgun.
