    Custom enclosures in Wagon

I'm about halfway done with my custom setup, but I can't wait any longer to share pictures...

Due to a *slight* miscalculation, the enclosures were about 1/2" too tall to fit under the strut brace. I've always hated the styrophom floor and the upholstery color in the back anyway, so I decided to rip it all out, rebuild, and lower the trunk floor. The enclosures fit pretty well now, but I still have a lot of gap filling, sanding, sound dampening, and carpeting to do. I should be done in about a month, I'll post more pics when it's finished.

Obviously, the words 'practicality' and 'stock' are no longer in my vocabulary The rear seatbelt has been removed, numerous brackets/tie downs were ground off, and the molded factory trunk pieces will never be in the car again- etc... The rear seat is staying, it's just out right now to make it easier to work...

Well...with my previous set up I had 2 10" JL W0's, which are now going on 6 years old (but still sound great!) If I can, I'll upgrade the subs, but i'll probably just run those for a while.

Getting closer...I got the back seat together, enclosures are just about done, and I have the side panels cut and formed. I used this cardboard insulation material called Thermo-Ply to reshape the sides.
