Are the OEM bulbs green, or is there some kind of film I'll have to remove? I'd like to do this in white, but I'm wondering if everything will still be green if I use white LEDs. I have an 04, if that makes any difference (sorry for lack of knowledge, I've had the car about 4 days).

In the 02-03 the bulbs have green covers on them. I am assuming you probably have the same things in your 04. You can try just taking those covers off and seeing how it looks but if you use the LEDs you will get a better white than the stock bulbs.
