    Custom center gauge pod

A couple months ago I sent the center clock housing home to my dad along with a picture of the center gauge cluster. He used the stock piece as a pattern since I'm 1000 miles away and made me a 3 gauge pod.

The pod is 2 pieces of a luminum, mig welded together, with a couple rivets for the face. It's been brushed and has a few layers of clearcoat over the top. The gauges are VDO Vision series EGT, boost and oil pressure. Enjoy!

Nice! I agree with a different color though. Maybe a grey like the interior.

It was all pretty deliberate. The color matches the dash trim. Not exactly, but just as close as I could have matched any other color. The gauges have red lights, which will match my stock gauges once I get the red bulb covers from partsexpress (if they ever get them in stock). The only problem is it causes quite a bit of glare when the sun is out.

The fabrication of that came out pretty clean. Nice job man. I'd have to agree, a different color would probably make it more of my kinda thing, but I see where you were going with it. Not bad..

I told him a month ago if he wanted to he could make some money on these. After it was finished, he said "This was definately a one off." He spent a whole lot of time on this thing, my guess would be at least 25 hours. He could do the rest faster, I'm sure, but it wouldn't be worthwhile. So I'm one of a kind.
