    Oil pressure gauge problems

I've got a VDO electronic oil pressure gauge and a sender in the greddy oil filter adapter. I started the car up after installing it this morning, expecting to see something around 100psi, but it just sat there at 0. Over the next couple minutes (with the car at idle) it moved up to around 20psi, and the throttle, which should change the reading quite a bit, didn't affect it at all. Any ideas what my problem is?

It seems many problems with electric oil gauges are related to a faulty ground. Check that the sender is grounded (if necessary) and the gauge too.

Turns out I got the wrong gauge. Grrr... I've had more and more trouble because of the oil pressure gauge already.
