    Sunroof on '04 WRX

When you close the sunroof, is it supposed to stop 1/3 of the way? When it is fully open, I flip the switch to shut it, but it only shuts 1/3 of the way. Then I have to flip the switch again and it'll close completely. Why is it like that? Or is it supposed to do that???

    I'm pretty sure it's a safety mechanism...

I think the 02+ Civic Si's have that function also, and probably multiple other cars.

Maybe somebody chopped off their head and sued

I think it says in the manual that it provides better ventilation of the back seats if you have it part way closed. I think I remember that.... take it with a grain of salt though

THe owner's manual would best describe it.

Most likely, it's a quick check for you to remember to remove anything in its path, then you fully close the sunroof

Oh ok. All of the above makes sense. I'll have to sit down and read through that manual. I'd rather be driving though!

    Thanks guys
