Well this topics has been discussed you dont really need a TT. It has to do with the turbo being liquid cooled as well and as long as you dont redline every gear to the store then park and shut it off youll be ok. If you have just driven hard let it idle for a minute or two. Its not really needed.

    ya but

ya but i might get into a bad habit of turning of the car to soon, i would feel stupid if i didn't spend $200 for a TT, and then needed a new turbo. thats my point, still deciding though.

The turbo failures we've seen so far on the TD04-13g units haven't been because of oil line coking, they've mostly been because of excessive boost -- at least on this forum.

I have the blitz DTT DC2, great unit, I love it. TT's could probably be looked at as insurance for your turbo.

If nothing else...I like the cool ricer thing of leaving the car running and have it shut off....oh so sweet.

    i have a question.

if you dont have a TT u obviously shut the car off yourself, so you witness it being shut off. what happens if the TT freaks out and doest work properly(doesnt shut the car off). you home for the night, and the TT isnt working right, and doesnt shut the car off and your car idles for 9 hours til the next day. is this possible, or ever happened??
