This is a discussion on anyone cut into the rear deck for speakers? within the Interior Mods forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; I'm curious if anyone has had this done or done it themselves....

Nice install sites5! I too put 6.5 in the rear deck with fiberglass. However, I just carpeted the rear deck, I did not have a good way to paint it.

nice work sites5. I wanted to keep the stock look...I just cut some holes with the plasma cutter and threw some 6.5 XR's in.

i noticed the two holes in the metal on the rear deck and hear about 6.5's fitting with cutting. could i just drop 5.25's in with no cutting?

btw, that fiberglass look is AWESOME. is there a website with a tutorial or some more detailed pics of something like that?

what is between the two rear seats, are those 8" subs? is that a sealed box or are they open air?
