taking out all the stock lights in the dash and the console, and replacing them w/ red lights so the interior looks like a bmw's at night - is it possible? what do you guys think it would look like?

that would be interesting...i wonder if the color is in the plastic that transmits the light or the bulbs themselves...red bulbs+green plastic = bleah

if it's like any other japanese car, it would be a clear bulb with a green condom (making it into a green bulb)
yeah, the autometer bulbs have those slip on covers too, i just havnt put the green ones on yet

Unfortunately it's a lot more complicated than that. This topic has been beat into the ground on I-Club. I'll summarize.
HVAC controls have bulb covers you could slip off and change color easily.
Stereo-you'd have to change head unit to get different color
gauges-you'd have to get reverse indiglos to get different color because on the back of your gauges is a green film that clear bulbs shine through to make the green. To remove film you'd have to remove your needles (NOT a good idea).
Bulbs size is "T1" I think. LED replacement bulbs may or may not be bright enough to overpower the green color on the gauge backs.
I WANT BLUE LIGHTS.
thx - i already knew about the indiglo gauges, i was more concerned about the console where the stereo was
so you have to complety change the head unit to get a diff color? hmmm.....anyone make a kit for this ?

The head unit cannot be disassembled for anything, not even repair. I had a small scratch on my display when I got my car, dealer solution: whole new head unit!Originally posted by Penguinking

I think you can change the button's colors, but not the LED display.
