I'm using 6.5 JL vr component speaksrs.
They are tricky to install b/c the depth of the speaker may hit the window.
i took it to a car audio place to install it, and they installed it good.

I'm using the 6.5 XR series components in the front bi-amped to a JL Audio 300/4. The sound quality that you get from these components are amazing.

I listened to the XR's at a stereo shop but I have not heard them in a car yet. The mid-bass sounded good but I'm not sure about the tweeters. But maybe it's my personal preference. Then again, I consider JL overpriced (like most of the mainstream manufacturers) for what you get compared to many other lesser known manufacturers.

When buying the XR set at a place like Good Guys or Tweeter, then yes, the price is somewhat high. Although, they are available for a decent price in most car audio shops, and if you're willing they are very in-expensive when purchased through e-bay. When properly installed with sound deadener on the doors and ample power going through them, they sound pretty amazing.

The tweeters on the XR set are amazing. Not too bright and not too laid back. If anyone is in the Irvine area in Orange County, CA i'll gladly demo them for you.
