In-Dash lights

Does anybody know what size bulbs are inside the dash? I am referring to the ones that light up the Temperature control knobs.
They are too small to be 194. Any help will be very much appreciated because I am tired of them shining green.
They totally clash with my new HU.

Head Unit. I removed the stock stereo and replaced it with a Panasonic Cd/MP3 player. Shines blue. I am looking to replace the bulbs with blue bulbs or get blue filters for them. Anything to get rid of that green!

Hey Kira, what Panasonic HU did you get? I've been thinking off and on about replacing my HU and speakers, but so far I've stuck with go-fast and exterior mods more than anything else.

I got the Panasonic CQ-DFX572U. I'll post some pictures later. I am at work. I don't have any good pictures of the way it looks at night so I'll just post a picture I got off of the Panasonic website.
You can also go and check out the website yourself but I don't think the picture does the unit any justice.

I am pretty happy with the way it looks. My next purchase is going to be the CD changer but that won't be for a while. My only problem with it this far is that it is really picky about the MP3s I try to play. I am experimenting burning my cds at different speeds or maybe burning less files to cds. Other than that, it is awesome.

I was wondering if replacing the head unit poses a problem with the indash 6... do you have to completely sacrifice that???

Yup! Have to pick one or the other the cd changer and HU are inseperable. CHRIS.....

I think the mp3 playing option is a complete waste, you don't sacrifice any quality, you just spend ~$75 for that option. Also, if you have a newer CD-RW w/ a good buffer, the speed or amount won't effect the quality of the CD, neither will buring it all the way or over-burning the cd (99 minutes)

Hey all. I had a 2k1 civic that I swapped all of the interior (dash) lights out. I replaced them with a series of blue LED's.

Now, let me tell you, it was a PITA, and I will NEVER do it again. When I was done, it was quite a good feeling, but it was simply not worth it IMHO.

I had to figure out what the exact voltage ratings, (it was easy on most, 12v), check fitment, check the light pattern, etc....


I probably did it the hard way, but I don't think that you can just go out and get the correct lights.


Again, my $0.02, but think *hard* before you do it.

Try http://www.ledtronics.com . They only sell in bulk, but they will point you to a distributor if you call. I believe its a T1 bulb you're looking for and for the LEDs, use something with a wide viewing angle (like 120 degrees) so you don't have "hot spots".
