Stock CD changer into 2000 Accord?

Will the stock 6CD indash CD changer/Tape player thing fit into a double din opening of a 2000 Accord LX V6? Will i need any other aftermarket wiring harness? does the WRX stereo have any anti-theft protection stuff?

the reason i'm asking is b/c i'm probably getting a WRX sometime in the next few weeks and will be replacing the stock stereo with my Pioneer headunit. however, my mom's car (the accord) has only the tape player with the bottom din slot empty. So i wanted to put in the 6CD changer/tape into her car.

major work, will probably be better off just getting an aftermarket anyway. Cant see it being worthwhile to try to fit the Subaru factory in there. You might have different mounting holes on the side and also an installer competent enough to figure out the wires and be able to adapt it to the Honda.

alright thanks. Too bad car manufacturers don't just use standard wiring and sizes.

on a side note, will i need an adapter harness to fit the Pioneer Cd player into the WRX? i needed an adapter harness for it to go into my 93 Honda Accord. but since the WRX is new maybe the factory wire harness will line up with the Pioneer Harness.

yep, you willneed a harness if you would like to keep your WRX's harness intact. The only other thing you may want to get would bve a pocket from your dealership to fill in the gap under the radio. Other than that, you should not need an install kit as the holes on the sides of the pioneer "should" line up with the Pioneer's. This is what my Kenwood ended up looking in my car.
