Yeah, so it looks like I might be getting a WRX this winter. In my current car I have a Pioneer head unit along with two 10" subs hooked up to a 500W amp. When I get a newer car, I'll be getting some component speakers. I think I'm going to re-use my current amp to power whatever new speakers I get since it is a class A/B amp and the THD is pretty low.

So, I'll be looking into getting a new amp for my subs. I am thinking about doing around 1000W RMS, and probably a class D amp. Any of you high-power stereo guys have any suggestions? I'm doing a SQ/SPL setup and I absolutely don't want to spend more than $700 for a new amp. I'd prefer to spend no more than $400 or $500.
