This is a discussion on Strobe light install within the Interior Mods forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; I want to install strobes at the bottum under the front grill . I never done this before does anyone ...

    I want to install strobes at the bottum under the front grill . I never done this before does anyone have step be step with pictures.

    Hehe, I always wanted to buy some police strobes and put them behind the grill and then scare the **** out of idiots when they do a flyby.

    I picked up one set Purple and one set white . Should look great .

    I can see where you're coming from, but if Im not mistaken, its a felony to have them installed on a street car.

    Yeah, it is. Also would probably be charged with impersonation of an authority figure.

    You basically wire it into a on-off switch.

    Actually...it's more like wire it to an automotive relay.

    there are 4 pins:
    -Constant voltage (hooks up to the battery, with a fuse, probably a 10 amp should be fine)
    -Ground

    -Switch
    -to the strobes.

    Strobes

    The strobes have two wires. one is a positive and of cousres one is negative.

    The switch I purchased has two pins .

    If i wire the a 10 fused wire to the positive side to the switch and then to the light can I just wire the negative some were else in the engine bay ?

    basically.

    Using a relay, though a little more complex, assures full power when switched on.

    When i go to the parts store , will the part called a relay or a fuse switch?

    I am an EMT so I put strobed in for when i repond to calls.

    Here are some pics fomr the outside and the switch...If you want I can give more detail
