    Turbo Timer

Where is everyone installing their turbo timer? I oredered the Blitz Fatt TT. The only place I have found is next to the cup holder and down by the ash tray. Does anyone else have theirs anyplace else?

    Thanks,
    Brandon

i have my greddy where the ash tray was. I took it out, and have the boost controller and TT on top of each other. Fit perfectly.

I too have the greddy where the ashtray is...Great minds think alike! Do you have them mounted or anything, or are the two stacked so its tight enough to stay?

the two are stacked together tightly so that they don't move.

I don't know if the Blitz TT is going to fit down there. I guess I will figure it out when it comes in.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

It fits, here's a pic. The only problem so far is I used some heavy duty 3M sticky tape instead of the stuff the TT came with, but the temperature dropped to 20 degrees tonight and it fell off. hmmm

I have a question, is a Turbo Timer really as necessary on the WRX as it is on other Turbo cars (like my Mr2 for example) cause i know the turbo is liquid cooled instead of oil cooled, and it continues to cycle for a brief period of time after the car is off and i have been told that because of this you dont need a turbo timer, is this true and you guys just get one as a extra precaution or is it really needed?

I figured it couldn't hurt anything and just got it for added protection. I'm finding out quickly that it's incredibly useful for winter, I can start it and let the car defrost it's own windows! You can set it for up to 9min 50sec (the Blitz TT, not sure about the others) and let it run, also great for running into the store or quick errands when it's cold out. No fear of somebody driving off with my pride and joy.

bingo...theyre for lazy people or people who want to say they have them, sure they function but is it something you really need? no.
