This is a discussion on 04 cluster in 03 - completed within the Interior Mods forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; I just completed this. Very simple switch. Only issue is that the indicator lights do not work....

So with no indicator lights how do you know if you have a CEL or SRS light on?
Now: 04 WRB STi (stock)
don't know whether you mean the turn signal indicators, the idiot lights, or all of the above - but i would hardly call it a simple switch if half of the instrumentation was inoperative after the job, IMO.

Why bother?
Especially if the indicator lights dont work anymore.

Sorry guys, I was out of town....
The only thing that does not work are the indicators for the turn signals. You can however hear the relays clicking as the indicator lights flash. Ryan at SPI motorsports is looking into this for me.
I will take some pictures over the weekend.

Good luck explaining the odometer discrepancy when it's time to sell.

does it just remain a discrepancy, or is their some way to set it at the appropriate mileage?
The next question I have is...was it worth it?

Dealer might be able to set it, SHOULD be able to reset it. Where I work we send out the 94-97 F-350 clusters to be reprogrammed when we replace them.
I was just busting wrxraj's stones. The tach belongs in the center. Who needs a speedometer anyway?![]()

No problem with the mileage. just keep the old odometer as proof. When you sell it, offer to plug it in for the buyer![]()
Was it worth it? It is subjective. For me, it was. Love the tach in the center, the red needles and the silver bezel.
I would think the mileage would be stored on the ECU, hence should make no difference which gauge cluster is in there...
