Question Stuff on a brand new car's dash?

I just got my Rex a litle under a month ago and I've noticed that there's some kind of sticky substance covering the dash.

I went to brush some dust off of it with my finger and it left a streak across the dash. Kinda like when you rub suede one way, you know how it will turn either lighter or darker? But this seems like it's almost a little sticky feeling.

Do all of the new WRX dashes have this on the dash? Is there anything special I need to get it off with, or can I just use a wet rag?

    Thanks
    -Lee

I have the dumbest of dumb questions, but could it be Armor All? Or a similiar product? Dunno what would make it sticky other than some cleaner/polish they might have used at the dealership.

Well, it's hard to describe... It doesn't come off on your hands, it's just when you touch it. I guess you could say it feels rubbery?

Like I said, it also has the same properties as suede, like when I brush a finger over it, it turns to a lighter shade of grey but it won't go back. Maybe it's normal. I don't know.

    Very odd...

Probably part of the "dealer prep" that they want you to pay big bucks for.
