Alpine 9811 Installed

Installed an Alpine 9811 HU yesterday.

First audio thing I have ever done on any car haha. Anyways, the install went very smoothly, and I have a Legacy pocket with a Profec B inside underneath the head, so it's all very clean. My impressions were that the improvement was well worth the price. Through the stock speakers, everything is louder and clearer, and the MP3 compatability is a perfect replacement for the 6-Disc changer.

What do you guys think I should do next? Speakers? Sub? Amp? Let me know!

Do the multicolored display/buttons in green match nicely?

The green matches really well with the 02 interior. The heads got Black/silver and yellow/green so it's very clean.

Do an amp and a sub or two. it will sound nice and add to your system. After then you can do a speaker amp and some nice speakers. Good luck!

Now you need to replace your stock speakers.
6 1/2 components in the front stage and 5/12 or 4" coaxials
rear fills and 1 or 2 subs plus two amps then your set.
I have the 9813.

I am also trying to decide between the 9811 and 9813. Cant decide if its worth the extra dough. I dont really want to add an amp later for the speakers, so the 9813 is the smarter buy I guess. I'd really like to get the 9815 to get the better display, but I dont want to spend that much...

Yes, show us pics. Either way you should get an external amp and either wire up sub-woofers, new component speakers, or both. Satellite radio would be very nice. That's next on my list of car audio stuff.

I just finished my system (for now, lol). Still need to mount a few more neons, no big deal. But I ahve the 9815 and its the sweetest thing. Pics soon!
