how soon do I need to get a TT?

So I'm picking up my '04 WRX in a few days and the first thing I was looking to get was a TT. My question is whether I really need to get it asap since I don't see why I would truly need it during the break-in period. Of course, after that is a different story.

Also, while I'm trying to decide betw. the Blitz DTT-DCII turbo timer w/harness versus the Apex'i turbo timer w/HKS harness, anyone have anything to say about the Greddy Full-Auto Turbo Timer and why one would want it over either of these two? (I love the look of placing the Apex'i left of the cupholder, perfect fit; and the Blitz's digital boost gauge is also great).

    Thanks

A TT is not needed at all in stock form, the way the coolant lines are designed keeps cooling the turbo after the engine has been shut off through convection.

    another thing:

how accurate is the digital boost gauge in the blitz TT versus say an Omori or Defi boost gauge?

Works great, but trying to find one is the problem. They are back ordered just about everywhere. Can't beat a TT and boost gauge in one unit for $120!
