I'm in the process of hooking up my gauges. I'm trying to find a place to hook up the lights so that they dim with the rest of the dash lights. I checked the factory gauge manual, and it uses a pigtail on the radio harness. But when I check this with my meter, it seems that Subaru has decided to use the ground side to control the dimming. As you dim the lights, the ground goes closer to 12v. Sounds stupid to me.. but that's the way it works. If my gauges used a separate ground for just the light, it would be fine.. but the same ground is needed to work the gauge as well.

Can anyone tell me where they tapped their gauges for lights?
