    Question amp question

in back of my fosgate amp it needs a "rem" wire to turn on, the guy that sold me the amp told me that that wire is on the RCA's cables wires (LEFT, RIGHT, and a small wire for "rem") ... now my question is where does that wire come from the HU:

Fuse & Relay Box (ACC - Switched Power) (Yellow/Green wire)

    OR

Main Fuse Box (BATTERY - Continuous Power) (Blue/Red wire)

remote should be blue, usually labelled power antenna, and is switched 12v.

Whenever that wire is hot to the amp, the amp will turn on. So you want the switched power to it.

The "rem" wire stands for "remote". It is a 12v source that allows it to turn on. Like a remote. When the remote wire gets power the amp will power on. You can run it from your head-unit using the blue remote wire, it should of came with your wiring kit. Or you can set it up for a toggle switch that runs 12v. The switch works great because if its a sub amp, you can turn on the subs with a flip of a switch. But if you do not want them banging you can turn them off. Good luck!

Were you able to get that wired up correctly?

Hey Luvxl8 when you trun off your stock HU does your AMp turn off also ??
I did a research about this and I believe Stock HU doens't have any trigger to turn off the amp You need to make your own swtich or put it with the inginiton In the fuse box....
