OK I now have my little toy and one of the items I was originally going to get was not on my final choice. The security system upgrade.
I was thinking of just getting the upgrade from subaruwrxparts.com (138.00 shipped) and dropping it in myself. has anyone done this yet? Or is it a waste? I fliiped through the installation docs (pdf file) and it seemed fairly straight forward if a little time consuming playing with the interior. As I understand it all the shock sensors and detection hardware is already installed this is merely the "module". Is the stock system worth the trouble or should I be looking at a aftermarket system. Admittedly there is a certain attraction to the factory unit since I can wire it to work with a tubo timer. any advice/experience would be greatly appreciated.
