You're just putting the sub inside of the trunk bed? Is that what I see? What kind of sub and amp? I'm curious cuz I don't have a WRX yet but in my car I have 2 10" subs hooked up to 500 W and they are begging for more.. hm..

This is my subs, box, amp in my Buick LeSabre. I don't even know if the box will fit if I get a WRX in about a year. If I remember right, the box is 30" wide. Amp is on the right but it is hard to see cuz it is black. I gotta take some newer pictures since I added some grilles to the subs recently too.

yeah thats gonna be pretty tight with that box. I actually made a fiberglass box to fit inside the tire well. I have a crappy little mtx audio 200 watt amp, i think i may need to buy another amp or somthing. As for the sub...does anyone reccomend a cheap(sub 200 dollar) 15 inch sub that will use about 6 cubic feet?

Personally I would recommend power over cone area. My two 10" subs are pretty loud. You could probably find a 15" sub online for less than $200. I got my two 10" subs for about $110 each online. They handle 800W peak, 400W RMS. Try looking into Infinity, Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate, or JL Audio subs. Make sure they handle a good amount of RMS power, at least 250W RMS. Is your enclosure sealed or ported? Just wondering

JL Audio doesnt make a 15 Biggest they make is a 13.5" W7.

Dont go 15's, too much power to move them to sound decent. They are extremely sloppy. If you want a 15" I have a Boston Acoustics Competitor im not using. I also have 2 kicker 15's new in the box as well.

not to mention, now a days with 6 cubic feet you can run three twelves better. More cone area than two fifteens and will be tighter!!! Unfortunatly, I think your car will rattle loose first.

BTW, I have a 1000W fosgate POWER that Im willing to part with for $350!!

I think that should handle whatever you put in there.

    being polite

I dont want to hijack this thread. Any questions, please PM me about the amp.

no it is not a 2002 model, I bought it 2001 and it was used for about a year, treated nicely.

Yeah I'd have to agree with wrxtsy. You'd probably be just as happy with 12" sub(s). What music do you listen to most, aaronwillen? do you plan on competing with this system?
