This is a discussion on how do you work the cushion height adjustment lever? mine don't seem like it works?? within the Interior Mods forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; maybe im not using it correctly but it doesn't seem as if I can adjust my seat height. Nothing happens ...

    how do you work the cushion height adjustment lever? mine don't seem like it works??

    maybe im not using it correctly but it doesn't seem as if I can adjust my seat height. Nothing happens if I push the lever down or if I pull it up. I pushed and pulled it all the way and still nothing happens. Am i doing this wrong? Or does my 1 day old 03 wrx have a failure already and need to bring back to dealer? thanks!

    are you sure your not pushing the seat recline lever?

    yep, im purshing/pulling the right lever. but i just found it that it wasn't automatic lol. you have to pump it. i thought u just hold the thuing up and it wil wutomatically rise. am i right?

    You NEED to pump it ! This is the same lever you will find in the VW Passat.

    You pump it "down" to lower the height - like a jack-handle, and pump it "up" by pulling it all the way up multiple times to lower it(like a reverse jack handle).

    Don't feel too stupid, it took 80% of Subaru owners to figure out that the little switch on the top of their steering wheel column was the reason they would find their parking lights "stuck" on.

    Yes, 40% of all percentages are 50% inaccurate...but this statement is true only half of the time.
