    CD player cleaner?

    Anyone used some type of CD player cleaner on the stock changer? If so, any recommendations?

    I'm guessing you mean one of those CDs with the little brush on it. IMHO, I wouldn't use them. Richard Clark (car audio guru) wrote a article on those lens cleaners a few years ago. He claims that all modern CD players have a plastic lens and those cleaners will actually damage the lens. He also stated that it would be impossible for there to be enough dust on the lens to block the laser.

    I don't know, maybe he's wrong, but it will give you something to think about

    Personally, I think they are a waste of money. I've never used them in any of my CD players. My Panasonic shelf system still plays fine after 12 years and no problems with my Toshiba DVD player after 5 years. I've never used them in my car CD players and haven't had a problem with any of them yet.
