I don't believe you can, as the whole unit is one piece, not separate as you would think.
The speedo and tach are one unit.
It just looks like to separate units when it's assembled.

I noticed a few posts regarding how people like the 2004 guages because Subaru finally swapped the locations of the speedo & tach.
Now the tach is in the middle where it rightfully belongs.
Rather than buying a new guage cluster has anyone tried just swapping the location of their existing guages? They appear to be the same size.

Uh guys? After I read this post I went out to take a look at my WRX. There seems to be some bird poop on the drivers side A-pillar and almost all of the windshield washer fluid is gone. Should I trade it in for a Ford ZX2 or just light in on fire?

Even if they were seperate, it would be quite an involved process. You'd have to swap gauge faces, motors and harnesses. I'm also pretty sure that the speedometer is slightly larger than the tach.

ya the speedo is larger then the tach. the tach and gas/temp are the same size tho.
