Question How big is a DIN size?

After much web searching, I have yet to find a definitive answer on DIN sizes. You see a lot of single-DIN, Double-DIN, 1/2 DIN, 1/4 DIN, etc etc, but not much as far as actual measurements. Does anyone have a chart? This would be for doing some custom installations...

A single DIN is 7 by 2 inches, just divide or multiply to get the sizes you need.

DIN - An international standard that applies to dimensions of car audio head-units so they fit the slot(s) provided in the dashboard (the initials stand for Deutsche Industrie Norinen).

    DIN - 7X2.
Double DIN - 7X4 (like the deck in the WRX).
1 1/2 DIN - 7X3 (GM uses this size deck in just about everything).
1/2 DIN - 7X1 (Like most aftermarket in dash EQs).

    So then a 1/4 DIN is 3.5"x1"?
