I didn't even know they made one for the WRX. Is it vehicle specific or is it a universal one?

it's universal i believe, but i've gotten others that are universal and don't work too well on the wrx

....I don't really know how other companies make their "universal" knobs, however, MOMO for example, uses rubber pieces to fit on the shifter itself, then the knob wedges over it, and screws in place. Holds perfectly. When I bought my MOMO for my mr2 they sent me like 6 different sized pieces with it, and I'm *sure* one of them would fit well on the wrx shifter. Granted I had to wait like 3 months for it to a) come off backorder, and b) Get shipped from Italy....but hey, why use anything but the best anyway? Just thought I'd throw that out there.......acctually, now that I think about it, if you needed something like that to make your knob work, I've got all my extra rubber pieces lyin round somewhere, though I don't know how you would secure the knob to the rubber.

yay it came and it fits perfect...it's like the momo ones with the rubber tube that fits around the metal stick and then the knob goes onto that with set screws...looks hot too

Don't they have light up shift knobs at pep boys?
Yeah they do, to match the wiper fluid nozzles and valve stem caps.
