    Question Sedan Cargo Net?

Does anyone know if there is a cargo net that can fit the sedan? So far I have only seen nets for the wagon...I'm getting tired of stuff in the trunk sliding around when I take a turn fast...

I haven't seen any directly from Subaru. I gave up and bought a net thingy from Target for about $10. It has some mounting straps and whatnot. I haven't put it in yet, but it shouldn't be a big deal.

I thought there was a sedan version made? I ordered mine from www.subaruparts.com. Maybe I ordered the wagon version? Either way - it works great!

Looks pretty well suited to mounting in the sedan trunk:

    is2scooby,

Did the "hooks" that secure the cargo net to the trunk in your sedan come with the cargo net?

I see the same mounting spot in my sedan trunk but don't have anything to hook the net to.

Yep, the hooks came with the net. You pull the "push pins" out that secure your trunk paneling and screw in the hooks.

    Well, crap.

I ordered the wagon cargo net (part #F5510SS000) and it has four "clips" for securing the net and not the hooks as your picture shows. The clips are meant to connect to two U type-hooks on the floor of the trunk and two other square hooks that you screw into a place that doesn't exist on the sedan.

You can see the instructions for the net I bought at http://subaruparts.com/install/2002i...ckcargonet.pdf which shows the clips I'm referring to. Don't think this net will work in a sedan.

is2scooby, can you tell me what the part number was of the cargo net you ordered from www.subaruparts.com? Additionally, does your net just have the four connection points like the one above or does it just "hang" from the two hooks in your pictures?

    Argh.

It has 4 connection points and just hangs from the 2 at the bottom. Not a problem at all. I've been trying to find my invoice from the cargo net purchase but haven't had any luck.

    I'll keep lookin'!

The cargo net is pretty universal though... The one that's in my car now is nearly IDENTICAL to the one that I bought through Lexus for my IS300 except for the missing "L" logo.

    Could it be F5510FS000?

I was looking and they seem to have a cargo net for the older Impreza (I looked under 1999).

    I found this here
    http://www.subaruparts.com/catalog/?section=64

    It says Cargo Net -- Sedan/Coupe $21.42.
