    painting trim

so i painted my silver inside trim yesterday. The stock silver paint was rubbing off which looked like crap. I started by throwing on 2 coats of clearcoat, then 2 of silver, then 2 of engine enamel..i figured the engine clear would be more durable so it wouldnt scratch in the future...looks pretty good, its a shinier silver then before, but in some places you can see scratches where i roughed it up too deep..oh well

    care to share some pix?

did you scuff the trim before painting it?

did you use any type of silicone remover?

those 2 things do wonders to make it stick properly
