Do they render the door tweeters useless?
Nope. Kept my stock tweeters too.

    My Sereo Upgrade

I am Running CDT Phase Perfect separates up front
    CDTs in the rear
    Image Dynamics Sub
Alpine 7984 powers the rear speakers
Jl 300/4 powers the sub and front speakers

I have also added two rolls of RAAMAT to the doors, roof of my wagon, rear deck, floor and wheel wells.

Do not forget soundproofing as this will make a huge difference.
