I installed a shifter trim from AustoSpeedPerformance today. The installation was very simple - drill lead holes and put in 6 screws. Apparently much easier than an STi shifter trim, which I understand requires the removal of the plastic console around the shifter.
You can see it up close on their website:

It looks great with my Momo shift knob!
It's a lousy picture, but this is what my shifter looks like now.

Do you have any more pics? Is your shifter at stock height?
I don't. But there are closer, detailed pics of the trim on the autospeedperformance website.Originally posted by wrxinthehouse

The shifter is actually shorter now by a good 3/4 " or so. The throws are shorter and feels perfect for me now.
is that the sti shifter trim...im assuming it is...i have it and it definately scratches really easy and i think im going to try to spray paint it cause its all scuffed up...spray paint it silver of course....im going to repaint all my trim i have it all painted silver and a lot of the paint is wearing off so im going to repaint and then paint over that with some clear coat engine enamel...it has some ceramic in it and i think that will stand up to some abuse.
