First I tapped into the power being put off by the 12v cig lighter, then ran the mute button right under the dash at less than an arms reach while sitting
I then ran the wiring back inside the dash over to the drivers side and strung it between the upper and lower dash panels. The flat wire fit fine, and there's a slit to run cables already there. The flat wiring slides right between the weather strip, but I pulled it out a bit so you can see it
I then velcroed it so I can remove it when I go into areas where it's illegal. The detector is tilted upwards, so I used some plastic that I had and fashioned a small pillar to straighten it out.
When I pull it off, the plug hides perfectly behind the glass of the windshield. When on, a cop cannot see it when approaching from the left rear or the right rear all the way up and into the windows.. Either side it's not possible to see. The view is blocked by the gauge shroud, and the a pillar. But if the cop approaches from the front it's blatantly obvious.

It's just the pic... I leveled the bottom out and everything. Side to side it leans MINUTELY to the left... but otherwise it's straight.

But there are many clones, Ratshack for one, and I have seen others. I have the Ratshack one, and a ton of rechargable batteries. They are effing great for remote controls. They are slightly lighter weight as well. Of course being rechargables they do hold a lesser charge, but the 15-minute charge time makes them great for general use. I've used them on plenty of digital devices as well, they work fine - just don't last quite as long as a set of alkalines.

Micah is a geek, but a geek that knows some cool products!!![]()
I'm a jack of all trades. Alot of random knowledge bolstered by an intense amount of websurfing and a reasonable amount of time spent reading.
That should give you an idea of how much time I spend online. I'm not always logged in to youtube eihter, the youtube browsing I do on my phone (sprint mogul) doesn't count towards that number.
